(Mile Marker 141 on the towpath at Fifteen Mile Campground and just five miles west of the Western Maryland Rail Trail.) The only stopover between Hancock and Cumberland, Maryland. Located only 1/2 mile from the C & O Canal Towpath and offers a variety of rooms to accommodate all visitors, from the solo hiker-biker to any large group. You can hike-bike the canal towpath-rail trail or canoe-kayak the nearby Potomac River. The bird-watching features migrant waterfowl, warblers and a few rare species. The western terminus of the C & O Canal Trail is located in Cumberland, Maryland (43 miles west) where the towpath connects with the Great Allegheny Passage to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
