This is an end/corner unit in the Windward Harbour Community. Our home is completely finished. In addition, we have an annual private water and sewer assessment. It is 30.00 a month that is paid in one full payment at years end. We do not have a boat slip, but plenty of available slips in the community for rent or Calvert Marina is conveniently located across the street with slips and dry dock storage along with terrific amenities. There are several marinas within 2 miles of the community with ample boat slips available. Solomons Island is a major boating center located at the mouth of the Patuxent River on the Western Shore in southern Calvert County, Maryland. Located on the Patuxent River and just minutes from the Chesapeake Bay. The island is about an hour and a half drive from Washington D.C. or two hours from Baltimore. As you approach the island, you~ll cross the rather impressive looking Governor ThomasJohnson Bridge. The bridge is a tall one, reaching 135 feet. You~ll get a nice view of Solomons as you cross. Solomons is the home of the Calvert Marine Museum, a popular day-trip destination, plus the Annmarie Garden Sculpture Park and the Chesapeake Biological Laboratory. The town is also just a nice place to go enjoy some seafood and the waterfront setting ~ it~s a very popular destination for cruising boaters. There are several lodging options in the area. Most of the chain hotels are located nearby but off the island. If you want to in the heart of Solomons Island, there are several bed & breakfast options available. There are a lot of restaurants available on Solomons and, as you~d expect for an island, many arewaterfront. Some of the waterfront dining options include Zahniser~s Dry Dock, Kingfishers Seafood Bar and Grill, Island Hideaway, Lighthouse Restaurant, Dock Bar, and Charles Street Brasserie. If it's escaping the daily grind you will surely notice that in this beautiful Southern Maryland town,all that comes to a screeching halt. Though very short distances from major cities you would surely enjoy the warmth of this town and the hospitality of living on an island.
