This WORKFORCE HOUSING @ 120% MFI is drop-dead gorgeous and a true turn key. Workforce housing at it's Best! This magnificent property has been brought back to life. The houses were built on speculation by Henry A. Griswold, president of the Anacostia and Potomac River Railway and friend and associate of Frederick Douglass. The Cottage-style house was built for the working-class individuals of Anacostia. Its earliest known occupants were a Navy Yard carpenter, a railroad stenographer, and two teachers. In the late 1930s, well-known DC architect, Earl Von Reich-enbach resided at the house with his son and dog. The dwelling retains much of its original siding and architectural detail along the front gable roof. The rear half of the housed was demolished in 2011 and was reconstructed by The L'Enfant Trust.
