This beautiful, architecturally designed waterfront Chesapeake Bay home has sweeping views of the bay from all three floors. The wooded front lot leads to a two-car garage. The beautiful large backyard leads to the 100 ft waterfront dock. From the dock the gorgeous sunrises and sunsets are inspired by the changing seasons of color and light. Every season has its beauty. The shady lawn and sunny spaces come alive with the countless varieties of birds; flying overhead you can see osprey, bald eagles, blue herons, and the sundry birds we don t know the names of but wish we did. The morning bird songs are enough to make you happy just to be there. The backyard is complete with hammock, picnic table, kayaks, and both shade and sun. The native grasses provide a peaceful background any time of the year. The pier and dock come equipped with a charming bench. The house overlooks the Chesapeake Bay with window walls on each of the three floors. The first floor has an open kitchen with views to the bay, a perfect backdrop for family meals and parties. We have seated 24 people in the kitchen at holiday time. The green slate floor, the two ovens, a Viking six burner stove, and a subzero refrigerator are surrounded by custom designed Silestone counter tops. The kitchen has a corner nook big enough for couch seating. A deck leading off the kitchen spans the length of the kitchen and frequently serves as the outside eating area. The large foyer on the first floor leads to a den with custom designed oak bookcases and the original 24-foot ceiling. Three bedrooms and two full bathrooms off the den provide privacy for guests, mothers and fathers, or teenagers. A private deck, surrounded by beautiful fig trees, fronts the largest of the three bedrooms and leads to a private entrance. This bedroom also has its own private bathroom and separate dressing room. The bathroom has been recently renovated to include a unique Italian tiled shower; a unique feature of the bedroom is the private dressing room which is large enough to hold a chair, dresser, and plenty of space for moving around. Frequently guests use this as a little reading room. Unique to one of the bedrooms is a loft that has been converted to a single upper bed using a ladder surrounded by a substantial rail. The loft bed is an elevated bed like a bunk bed but frees the floor space beneath it for other furniture. From the foyer, s staircase leads to a stunning great room living area with panoramic views of the bay, walled with windows, and a deck that spans the length of the living room. The 30-foot ceiling is airy and spacious; the blond hardwood floors are elegantly showcased by the stunning view. The library overlooks the living room and houses built in shelves. The large master bedroom suite is separated by a hallway; it contains two walk in closets and a master suite bathroom with an oversized whirlpool bathtub, an enclosed shower, and a privacy toilet. The third-floor office overlooks the living room and its panoramic view of the bay provides respite from a busy day. There is a bonus room behind the two-car garage. It is lined with cedar and has an open view of the bay. A new heating unit was installed in 2019.
